Team Rygor Announces its Charities of the Year 2025

Rygor Group Ltd. has announced its Charities of the Year for 2025. In the year ahead, the award-winning automotive company will be supporting Hope for Tomorrow, SSAFA, Smart Works and FareShare.

The multi-franchise vehicle Group, comprising of Rygor Auto; Rygor Plant, Rygor Service Solutions and Rygor Land Systems, first launched its Charities of the Year initiative in 2015. Since then, Team Rygor has donated more than £55,000.00 to good causes across the UK.

Hope for Tomorrow CEO, Tina Seymour, said: “We are delighted to be one of Rygor’s chosen charity partners for this year. We have worked with Rygor for many years and use their Mercedes-Benz chassis and service provision for our mobile cancer care units. The funds raised from this partnership will allow us to keep our essential work in providing cancer care in the community going and the wheels of our mobile units turning. We have an exciting year of expansion and new projects ahead and are delighted that Rygor will continue to be a part of these.

Rygor team members will also fundraise on behalf of the Armed Forces charity, SSAFA, in line with Rygor Land Systems’ commitment to supporting army personnel both serving and retired. Jenny King, head of corporate engagement for SSAFA, said: “Corporate partnerships are extremely valuable to SSAFA, as they provide life changing support to the entire Armed Forces community. None of the work we deliver would be possible without the support and commitment from companies such as Rygor, and we are very excited to work with Team Rygor in 2025.”

Smart Works, a charity which supports women across the UK to secure employment and transform their lives, has also been chosen as one of Rygor’s Charities of the Year 2025. The Group continues its ongoing work to encourage more women to join the automotive sector, aiming to be a place women feel supported, with clear focus on championing equity for women in the workplace.

Throughout 2025, Rygor will also fundraise to support the food bank charity, FareShare. Sam Townsend, fundraising assistant at FareShare said: “FareShare is the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste. FareShare works with the food industry to take good-to-eat surplus food that might otherwise go to waste, to be sorted in warehouses across the UK, and passed on to a network of 8,000 charities and community groups. These charities help tackle the root causes of poverty, and provide wraparound services including homelessness shelters, lunch clubs for the elderly suffering with isolation, and support with issues including debt, employment and mental health.”

Rygor Group’s managing director, John Keogh, said: “Rygor’s Charities of the Year initiative is an important part of our team culture, giving back to the local community and our Rygor Belonging programme. Our incredible team members are key to our fundraising, and from sponsored chilli-eating challenges to cake sales – their dedication and support makes all the difference. The four remarkable causes our team will fundraise for in 2025 all link closely with what we value at Rygor, and align especially with our value of being Respectful. We look forward to working with all the charities this year.”
